Alexandre is the Head of the African Desk at The APIS Group, with over two decades of experience across multiple industries. Born in Chad and raised in France, he earned a Master of Science in International Business, Trade, and Commerce from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and completed leadership training at Dale Carnegie in Paris.


Alexandre has held key roles in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, and international trade. As Branch Director and Managing Director at Schuller Eh'klar France, he led operations for a European leader in painting tools. He also co-founded BHL International Ltd, driving the international trade of building materials, and has worked in business development and consulting roles across France and Austria. Known for his strategic vision and ability to build high-performing teams,


Alexandre specializes in business improvement, financial forecasting, and fostering sustainable growth. Fluent in French and English, with proficiency in Germanic languages, his international exposure and multilingual skills make him adept at navigating diverse markets.


Based in Vienna and traveling frequently to Paris, Alexandre leverages his strong ties with government decision-makers in Ghana, Chad, South Sudan, and Nigeria to expand The APIS Group’s footprint across Africa. His leadership is instrumental in strengthening client relationships and driving strategic growth across the continent.





Oliver Eckel





Cyber Security, Gaming, Defense Industry



Oliver, born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, received a solid academic foundation at the prestigious Theresianische Akademie, where he focused on cognitive science and political science. His education laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to pioneering information security and risk management solutions in an ever-evolving digital landscape.


Certified in CISM and CISA, Oliver has consistently remained at the forefront of cybersecurity advancements. Throughout his career, Oliver has held key leadership roles across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, finance, fintech, gaming, and defense. As founder and CEO of Cognosec GmbH, Oliver established a global IT security powerhouse, driving innovation and navigating the company through its successful listing on the First North NASDAQ stock exchange in Sweden in 2017.


Prior to Cognosec, Oliver played an instrumental role in building security frameworks for leading organizations. As Head of Corporate Security at Bwin Interactive, he developed and implemented the company’s risk and security management system, achieving compliance with internationally recognized standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the implementation of e-governance and security solutions in Ghana, working with USAID and UNDP to modernize financial and governmental institutions.


Oliver’s expertise has been shaped by his collaborations with renowned institutions, ranging from multinational corporations like Bank Austria to pioneering African enterprises such as Metro TV and Trustafrica. His visionary approach has fortified organizations against modern cybersecurity threats, ensuring resilience and compliance in dynamic industries.


Beyond his professional achievements, Oliver is multilingual, fluent in German, English, and Russian. He balances his time between family, his passion for drone racing, and martial arts, reflecting a dynamic and driven personality.

Peter Franz Stummer





Founder, Private Equity, FX, Fine Art Wealth Management



Peter, born into a dynasty of master stone masons, received a robust education at a prestigious Catholic boarding school, focusing on physics, mathematics, and biology. He later delved into architecture, design, and film studies at an Austrian art university and completed an MBA programme through the Rothschild Trust in the UK.


Throughout his career, Peter has held influential roles as founder and CEO in investment advisory services, private investment banking, and fund management firms. Notable achievements include founding The APIS Group of Companies and pioneering innovative financial projects like Art Investment Funds and Multi-Manager Debt Management Programmes.


Peter's training under industry legends in both the financial and fine art worlds has shaped his expertise. He learned from merchant adventurer Sir John Royden, mystery man of finance Edmond Safra, Timothy Seymour Bathurst, a founding partner of Artemis Fine Arts SA, and Wolfgang Fischer, who provided invaluable insights being the son of Harry Fisher, founder of the world's first global modern art gallery, Marlborough Fine Arts.


In addition to his financial expertise, Peter has advised on the sale of outstanding works of art, including pieces by Rubens, Modigliani, and Renoir, with individual transactions fetching over 40 million euros.


Moreover, The APIS Group, under Peter's leadership, along with its appointed managers in discretionary debt management, has overseen currency debt exceeding 16 billion euros. Its esteemed associates, partners, and clients include institutions such as Rothschild, Coutts, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Credit Suisse, Julius Baer, HSBC Private Bank, Citi Private Bank, Bank of Bermuda, and Republic Bank of New York.


Peter, a multi-engine private pilot with aerobatic ratings, has lived in Israel, Egypt, Kenya, Belgium, and China, adding to his rich and diverse experiences.


Peter now resides in a delightful gothic abbey in Styria, Austria, with his 3-year-old Weimaraner, Artus, and his 16-year-old foster son from an ancient and esteemed English lineage.





Jack C Wagner

Jack is a highly accomplished financial strategist with extensive expertise in investment banking, asset management, and corporate financial operations. Over a dynamic career spanning major organizations, Jack has consistently demonstrated excellence in financial strategy, innovation, and leadership.


Jack began his career at Constantia Privatbank AG, specializing in Austrian equities and institutional portfolio management, including the IPO of Immofinanz AG. At IBM Austria, he managed one of the country’s largest corporate pension funds, overseeing asset allocation, portfolio management contracts, and investment controlling systems.


Later, as Manager of Capital Markets at IBM’s Treasury Center in Dublin, he structured interest rate risk management strategies and led Eurobond issuances. He further excelled as Deputy Head and COO at Siemens AG Austria, leading projects such as asset swaps, custodian transitions, and the spin-off of financial departments. As COO of INNO|VEST Finanzdienstleistungs AG,


Jack managed investments totaling approximately 2,3 billion Eiuros and advanced asset allocation, manager selection, and transition strategies. After completing the Program for Executive Development at IMD, Lausanne, Jack focused on investment strategy and innovation, including the development of manager relationships and asset allocation products. His leadership extended to the startup space as CEO and CFO of mymed.cc and CFO of Stage1.cc, where he secured venture capital, facilitated IPOs, and managed investments with high success rates.


Jack’s distinguished career is marked by strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to driving innovation across financial and venture capital sectors. Based in Austria, Jack continues to leverage his expertise in investment strategy and financial advisory roles.





Johann P Weisenhorn †





Private Banking, Fund Management, Asset Allocation



Johann was born on June 23, 1954 in Germany, to become one of Europe’s most accomplished figures in wealth management. He passed away on March 27, 2023, in Cyprus.


As a co-shareholder of APIS Finance GmbH (a member of APIS) and a mentor to Peter Franz Stummer, Johann left a lasting legacy. Alongside his sister, Elisabeth Weisenhorn, he learned the "art of finance" under the legendary André Kostolany.


Johann was widely regarded as one of Europe’s most successful financial experts, while Elisabeth managed over 13 billion euros in client assets for Deutsche Bank. Johann’s journey began with a strong academic background at the University of Munich’s School of Political Sciences and business training at Hoechst AG. He further refined his expertise with certifications in asset management, securities trading, and leadership through Merrill Lynch’s renowned programs in New York and Princeton.


During his decade-long tenure at Merrill Lynch, Johann held key positions, including Private Banker, Sales Manager, and Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Bank (Austria) AG. He was instrumental in launching groundbreaking initiatives such as Germany’s first institutional Movie Fund. In 1999, Johann co-founded Weisenhorn & Partner GmbH with his sister Elisabeth. Together, they introduced innovative financial products like the European Pearl Fund, a Cayman-based hedge fund, and managed award-winning funds such as Weisenhorn Amerika and Weisenhorn Europa, both recognized as top equity funds of the year.


Beyond his professional achievements, Johann was deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting development projects and sponsoring major golf tournaments. His career was marked by innovation, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Johann Weisenhorn will be remembered as a trailblazer in European finance, a mentor, and an extraordinary leader. May he rest in peace. †
